MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT...

With so much to explore around the area why not extend your visit & make use of our car park to the rear of the building which we take bookings for up to 4 campers per night giving you ample space & privacy.

A picturesque village nestled on the outskirts of Shipley.  Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Esholt Woods, including Spring Wood, Belmont Wood, Jerrison Wood, and Sodhall Hill, where you can explore footpaths and exhilarating mountain bike trails.

Don't miss the breathtaking sights of vibrant bluebells in the springtime and the serene path along Guiseley Beck in the eastern part of the woods, perfect for a leisurely stroll.  Additionally, the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal run just south of the woods, offering fantastic opportunities to embark on scenic walking and cycling adventures along these waterways.

Esholt is not only a nature lover's paradise but also holds a special place in the hearts of Emmerdale fans. The TV series was filmed in Esholt from 1976 to 1996, but filming moved to a purpose built set on the Harewood estate. The pub changed its name from The Commercial to The Woolpack during its time as a TV set.

Scenes were once again filmed in Esholt, 19 years after they were last filmed, as part of the special episode following Ashley Thomas's dementia storyline in December 2016 in an attempt to show a skewed, unfamiliar view of the village as perceived by Ashley.

The beautiful town of Ilkley is only 8 miles away, busting with shops & cafes as well as the river wharf & lido to enjoy in the summer months.

The friendly down-to-earth market town of Otley that bridges cosmopolitan Leeds and the picturesque Yorkshire Dales is also close (5 miles away). Take a wander around the cobbled streets which you may recognize as they are frequently featured on TV soaps and drama and browse the independent shops: antiques, unique gifts, art, jewellery and lots more. Wash down award-winning pork pies from the excellent butchers with real ale in historic pubs that pre-date the English Civil War.

We do ask motorhomes & campers to book their stays with us as we limit the number per night & can get fully booked throughout the spring & summer months.

We do take a £5 deposit per person on booking which is fully redeemable against your food or drinks bill.
